Ten-X is the value of an item going from the initial cost to 10 times its return. There are many evidences that an investment goes 10x every day, it is a matter of how much time it took to get 10x.
Case in point, Warren Buffet first accumulated funds of $100,000, it nearly took 5 years to reach the first million. Tesla, Amazon, Netflix and all the other big names in the equity stock and private holdings all had low start that eventually became 10x. It was a matter of time it took to reach the 10x goal using daily stock price. This is the daily price action.
In today's world of fast stock market computers, 10X is achieved now in the lower time frames. The most common to lower time frame is the five-minute price chart.
The price chart seen on most television screens is the daily price chart in candle stick form. Each candle stick represents one day of price action: the opening, the high, the low and close.
The 10x action in daily price is that a stock gets initially price on the first day of public offering (IPO). Then the price moves according demand and supply, price up and down. A highly demand stock will see its price soar over several days and/or weeks, and eventually get to 10x of its initial value. Good stocks with great value but slow move, it might take years to reach its first 10x.
The first 10x is sometimes the beginning. Take Amazon, its initial price (IPO) on May 15, 1997, was $18 per share. Therefore, its first 10x was $180. Today, Amazon is above $3353.88, which means Amazon has had several 10x since 1997 depending on when a price marker is establish.
Today’s traders fine stock price action too long to wait for 10x. Thus, options is shorter term because options is liking leasing the stock for a set period of time. When the option increases in price from the initial option purchase and then sell to close out the trade, the cost buyer keeps the profit. Therefore, the return on investment (ROI). Compound wins eventually lead to 10x in a matter of time. Options traders usually use the daily price action.
The traders often heard in the news are usually the day trader which means enter a trade and exit the trade in the same trading day. These traders work in the lower time frame, usually in 15 minutes to 5 minutes with penny stocks that have high volatility. That is wide price moves from high to low and high again. Thus, a high skilled day trader makes the 10x ROI. Risking $1 to make $10.
The example day trader is Ross Cameron that has YouTube is journey from $500 to $1,000,000 in about 3 years. He started in penny stocks near $1, grew his account to get margin buying power and expanded his trade criteria. Margin is borrowed money from the brokerage house. When kept overnight, the brokerage charges a small daily interest till the trade is concluded. Day traders use margin to boost their buying power which helps achieve 10x. Be warn that margin can be extremely dangerous if the trade value goes down. When that happens, the trader gets a margin call which means send cash to shore up the trade value. If cash not sent, the broker could sell any position, even trades not with margin, to meet the obligation.
The lower time frames are also used in commodities, Forex, and binary options. The same principle applies, risk $1 to $10 dollars, 10x. Again, the most common time frame is five-minute chart.
The search for 10x is to find the best strategy(s), trading arena and time frame. The Holy Grail is 10x in one year. From actual stocks and traders here shown, it exists. We know of those, yet, there are more unknown traders that achieve 10x and maintain to keep a low profile.
